Seabuckthorn jam is made from the bright orange berries of the Hippophae rhamnoides shrub, which grows wild in the cold desert climate of Ladakh. These berries are hand-harvested from the banks of the Indus and Nubra rivers during the short summer season (August–September). Known as a “superfruit of the Himalayas,” seabuckthorn is prized for its vibrant tangy flavor and exceptional nutritional value. The jam is traditionally slow-cooked in small batches using organic cane sugar, preserving its natural taste and nutrients.
Seabuckthorn jam from Ladakh is not just a unique gourmet treat—it’s a jar full of Himalayan vitality. Tart, tangy, and deeply nourishing, it's perfect for health-conscious food lovers and anyone seeking authentic, high-altitude wellness.
